This structure looks very much like the political system that David Easton proposed in the 1950s. It was a model that would explain repeating structures in society and was a predictive model that explains why some regimes fail. In this case, it can predict why people or paradigms become obsolete.

I never was uncomfortable with making decisions.
I wasn't always as good as it as I am now, but i was always comfortable making them.
