05 Prius hybrid battery cells


Curious to see what sort of industry pops up (if any) to deal with what is going to be a LOT of stale batteries. Are these no different from regular 12v car batteries or is there some other opportunity/cost here?

Instead of a $3-5000 new hybrid drive battery, replace only the dead cell for $40 each.

Not too complicated.
There are good YT videos showing the process. One guy changes the whole battery in thirteen minutes start to finish.

I don't know if the OBD2 port Bluetooth dongle is required, probably so. Only a couple bucks or so.
It would be cool if the computer could be accessed directly through phone pairing

I'll trade my hybrid in before I resort to that witches brew.

It would be wiser to dive in to the market of inverter water pumps and combination meters.

Both failed on the 2007 I drove.
