Police, family searching for 3 dogs that violently attacked 7-year-old boy | KOMO

All over our local news - three pit bulls mauled a seven year old boy at his babysitter's house. Not a lot in the way of details outside of that. I find it odd that the authorities don't have the dogs - it sounds like someone is hiding them. The dad says his family likes the breed. Probably not anymore...

Pit Bulls are harmless, misunderstood, loving animals and no different than butterflies, kittens, and great white sharks. :rolleyes:

The owners should be charged, regardless of breed or specie. If you can't control your pets, you should pay the consequences.

They are almost as bad as guns

Guns don't kill people. Pit Bulls kill people.

Something snaps in their brain, and they chomp onto their prey, and don't (can't) let go until it stops moving.

They also seem to be an extension of the owner's attitude, and demeanor, and are loved to a fault by their humans, until something unfortunate like this happens.

we always hear about the dog eating the kids...
but never that it's owner is serving 10..
make that happen & be swift about it...
folks will reconsider..

Chicago Pitbull's...shoot folks all day..
and can be home by 8...
they know it..
thus they keep killing..

There are many stories of loving, caring owners of pit bulls who have the dogs for years and years without any issue.

they defend their dogs saying they'd never hurt a fly, gentle as the day is long.
Then one day their dog bites the owners faces clean off and they act all surprised and can't believe it happened.

Can't blame it all on the owners.
There are plenty of bad owners who have cocker spaniels too but they don't get killed by their own pets.
