Movie Suggestions?

The last time I batched it I asked this rolling community for a movie suggestion and I netted one of my all-time favorites: Taken.

Can we discover another slightly lesser-known great movie? I'm looking for a sweeping adventure, nothing too dark. It should pair with venison backstrap and red wine. The second movie will ideally complement a Laphroaig 10.

Thank you for your help!

North by Northwest?

Ong Bak, a movie about a boy and his elephant. There are scenes where he is running through town that are pretty amazing. Subtitles, good story, great action, acrobatic fights.

Don't bother with Taken 2 or 3, they are pitiful compared to the first one.

Have you seen the Transporter movies? For some fun fight scenes and things getting blowed up real good they are mindless fun.

I really liked Expendables 3. Evey action star all in one movie.

That was the first PG rated movie I saw. I think I was in the 5th grade - so about 11 or 12. I still remember the quick glimpse of some boobies in the backstage scene.

This may be a little off the wall and maybe you wouldn't like it in the end but there is an older movie I liked. It's an Italian movie by Lina Wertmuller titled "Swept Away." It stars Giancarlo Giannini and Mariangela Melito. Kind of a simple story about two dissimilar people who end up on a small island trying to survive until they are rescued. It's a pretty European style movie. There was a 2002 remake starring Madonna as the leading lady. I didn't see it & don't care for Madonna.

7 academy awards..a great storyline. The poker game with Paul Newman and Robert Shaw on the train is one of the best scenes ever.

I worked on Deja Vu' a good Si-FI that didn't get much traction. We filmed most of it in Post-Katrina in New Orleans.

Shooter with Mark Wahlberg and Danny Glover is always entertaining.
