Greatest Middleweight fight ever
I remember my (now deceased) buddy David & I watching this on closed circuit...no complaints that we didn't get our money's worth.
Thought maybe the youngsters here would like to see a fight from when boxing was big... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5rnxsMvXM0

Mugabi was my favorite fighter back in the 80s. I liked Hagler, but lost all respect for him after his post fight comments. He said Mugabi had no business being in the same ring as him.

The 80's when Leonard, Duran, hagler and hearns were fighting, that was the golden age.
It hasn't been the same since. |

Ahhh, for a time machine. Mayweather would have found himself in a fight against any of the three mentioned in this thread.

Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns and "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler
I remember pooling our money to get Pay-per-View. The glory days for sure... |

Admittedly a heavy weight's punch is like being kicked by a horse; but I still prefer a REALLY good middle weight fight. It's more of a full on brawl.

I still think Hagler won this fight on punches, but sugar ray won it on STYLE. The original honey badger, the meanest and toughest man ever to walk the earth, gets so frustrated by the quickest man alive that he says "F THIS" in the middle of a fight. So many good wars back then, my buddy and I disagree on the best series. I still think Arquello and Prior was the best.
