Your favorite phone app?

I know this has been kicked around before but it has been awhile.
What are your must have apps on your phone?

Mine:
Pandora, I pay the $4 a month for premium with no commercials, that allows me to logon to the account at work and listen all day to music commercial free, plus it has an alarm function so it is effectively a clock radio for me.

Waze, A GPS app that I like a lot more than google maps.

I have my two bank accounts apps (Citibank and Bluebird)... yawn...

Video poker, my goto time killer for waiting at the Dr. office, etc.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit I have Facebook installed, but I have been using it to sell things.

With the recent storms passing through I have become a little obsessed with weather apps. the default accuweather is cool in that it has real time radar and satellite however is not 100% accurate on temperature (ironic with a name like that).

A buddy told me about weather underground, cool app in that it lets you connect to any weather station you chose (including a Buoy about a mile out in the ocean... not sure why I need to know the temp and wind speed/direction a mile out to sea but I can if I want!), however the graphic are a bit clunky.

Please don't flame me there is an app called 'Bible gateway' that allows word/topic/verse search for a couple dozen translations.

I use the pre-loaded calendar, calculator, etc.

On a related topic, I finally gave in and went to the dark side, joined the google empire (yes, I know they now have all my data).
But... my new phone died and when I took in in for a warranty replacement I just popped the SIM card in, it connected to the great google cloud in the sky and it updated everything, apps, phonebook, calendar, everything, I also like that gmail/calendar is synced to my computer.

Maybe I'm showing my age, my phone is pretty much used for GPS, email/text, music, poker and facebook are the only fluff (and all the cool kids have left facebook and moved on to newer/better social media... pretty much just us oldsters on there now complaining to the neighborhood watch about the homeless guy peeing in the ally or try to sell off the old junk in the garage).

So, what are your favorite apps for your phone?

Waze and Scrabble.

I have Captain Slow and Clarkson as the voices on Waze...makes me happy.

I deleted FB, notifications were too annoying. My current favorites are Fitbit, N7 Player, Waze, Sensi (therm. control), Canary, USAA, Kindle & Alexa.

Based on how much I use the app (aside from text and phone apps) I'd say:
-Tapatalk
-Pandora
-Google Calendar
-Wunderlist
-Instagram
-Facebook

I have also been know to load a guitar tuner and chord app... however guitar tuners are so small and cheap nowadays I don't bother.

I use about 6 boring ones for work. What I like is Pocket (save stuff you run across on the web to read later) and Lisgo (will do text to voice on the pocket articles) so I can "read" stuff in the car.

Oh yeah I have just got the fitbit (it was free, the little one you clip to your belt).

And discovered the google translate, don't know how I managed to be born and spend my whole life in SoCal and not learn espanol.

It is weird that me being a programmer, and working in educational technology, that I am fairly anti-app... on the phone at least. If I can do it from a browser on the desktop, I should be able to do it just as easy in the browser on a phone/tablet....

I'm pretty much the same way. The bulk of the apps I have are security-related.
