Its missing a rear fender, from the picture it looks nice, it could be the old sc. series or maybe the mx series yamahauler? Value is dependent on how much one is willing to pay, check your local inkies and look for a trend in $.

It's worthless unless you have somewhere to ride it.

If you're trying to do a thing, I suggest get in under $500 and get out over $1000.

Thanks everyone. I looked at a 928 this weekend and owner (kid) had it. he didn't know what it was. had just bought it for $800, wanted to flip for $4K. He was a dufus. Had bough this 88 928 6 months ago, put it up for $20K, found it had a GT motor (maybe) and raised the price to $50K. I found it on CL again for $14K recently so thought I'd take a look for fun.

Thought the bike had great dimensions. With different tires, might be fun in the summer. Miss my 75 CB400 now and again.

Lusted after these in HS. I think the 250 MX had a yellow strip on the tank. Rode with a kid in the mid 70's who had the 250. Dead sexy bike in its day..not Husky sexy but pretty cool. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

I remember racing against these guys.
But not catching, don't think I ever did that.
I remember at the B to V they showed up 5 minutes before the race in the husky helicopter.

My buddy i rode with and worked with was fast enough to catch em and beat em once in a while.
He has a factory honda ride and he was fast. Every time he passed me the earth spun backwards.

That's him with his new turbo

I lusted after one of these:

This is the model of bike i was riding (crashing on) at the time.
Terrible handling bike, had the radiator behind the number plate.
The next year they fixed that.

Ah, vintage bikes, once the suspension got longer, and the power got broader, the were truly something to behold.

Always loved that Yam. black/yellow scheme.
Had a E. Lawson RZ350 in those colors...used to park it in my living room so I could gaze upon it.
.
So last year when I responded to a rumor about a DT400 for sale and saw the colors...I was a goner.

I have never ridden a 4 stroke dirt bike (except for an XR 75 ).

I rode a factory CR 500 two stroke and it was all I could handle and more.
I got hurt bad and had a back surgery soon after so that put an end to my riding hobby.
