Help with Truck Bed Cap Third Brake Light issue

Hey guys I need some tips from the brain trust.

I have a bed cap on my 2014 Silverado with an LED third brake light. The top was professionally installed in 2015. Recently while driving behind me my wife noticed that my third brake light was not working. After looking into it I noticed the logic circuit/box had cracked and gotten moisture inside it. So I replaced it with a new version of the same one but now my center brake light flashes as follows:

-Turn signal on, brakes off - Third brake light flashes w/ the signals
-Turn signal on, brakes on - Third brake light is solid as it should be, let off the brakes and it starts flashing again.
-Turn signal off, brakes on - Third brake light is solid as it should be

It is wired to the back of the 7-pin trailer harness and I tried one other brand/type of logic circuit as well and both have the same results as above.

So far all I can figure out is that the Logic circuits on the market are only designed to keep it from flashing when the brakes are applied but do nothing to filter out the signal when the turn signal is on and the brakes aren't applied. There's a good chance it worked like this since new and I just never noticed until now.

Any tips on how to fix this would be appreciated!

Ditch the logic box, there's a purple and grey wire back there for the 3rd brake light.

Wow...thanks never seen that posted anywhere including on GM-Truck Forum. I'll go out and take a look.

Just went out and wired it up per the diagram. Works perfectly! Not sure why the bed cap shop didn't do the same, should have been done this way from the start.

Thanks a ton @rockfan4
