Absolutely. It's a shame that so often this stuff perpetuates itself. Fortunately, not everyone continues on in family traditions whether they are mild like smoking or drinking or more extreme as seems likely in this case.

It never goes away...it may skip a generation. But the pattern is there, only to resurface. It is learned, as it is ingrained in a families behavior pattern. Maybe it goes on for so long it changes the DNA.

He's one of 6 the Sandusky's adopted. Another adopted brother claimed during Jerry's trial that Jerry sexually assaulted him.

Meh, I think you're wrong. Patterns can stop.

Although you are correct in that stressors can cause a change in genetics.

I work at a program for boys under 12 who are in the foster system. Stories of abuse you would not believe. It is learned by them experiencing the abuse and being around it.
