Just being in the presence of somebody who knew Steve McQueen makes your Aura glow more brightly...Maybe we should genuflect in your presence from now on end...My God that must have been like being in the presence of Mother Teresa or the Pope..

Wow. That is notable history.

My handful of brushes with celebrity were mostly in Los Angeles. Airport and a comedy club. Steven Wright walked by me outside of a comedy club, eyes straight ahead. He was going in. Not the same as seeing him on stage. That counts as a loose connection more than Stevie Wonder on the same 747 from LAX to ORD.

I met Brian Johnson at VIR last year. I said "I just want to shake your hand". He pulled out an ear plug and said "What?"

EDIT: Jeebus, I just took a Steve McQueen thread off topic. Please forgive.

Did he fly them? If so, never knew that.

when I was a mere foundling my parents would take Sunday drives, on one of those Sunday evenings in the early 60's we were at a stoplight on Wilshire Blvd just east of Rodeo Dr in BH up pulls a turquoise 57 4 door Chevy in the next lane with Liz Taylor in the back seat with her then husband Eddie Fisher in the front passenger seat. We waved they waved and we went our separate ways when the light changed.

The plasters who did my pool did Marlon Brando's pool to...does that count???? Heee Hawww.
