bought my first handgun as a married guy.

i finally got a deal i could stomach on a Browning Buckmark Contour. my wife and i were talking about it and we both realized it is the first firearm i bought as a married dude. i came into the marriage armed to the gills. i really need another firearm like i need a hole in the head. (maybe a 10-22 VTR)

i wish i bought a few other things while single. a new motorcycle, an early bronco, etc.

it's not that my wife wont let me buy things..she has this Jedi mind trick thing where she makes me not want "fun" things so much.

she did end the conversation by showing us how much money we have set aside for retirement...and i am blown away. and she just started working a couple of years ago!! i appreciate her goals.they are wiser than mine..

i'll get that early bronco, but by then it will be very very rare.

this is coming to me!!

Nice Vash. I had seriously considered the Buckmark but went with the S&W 22A. Both shot nicely but the S&W just felt better in my mitt. Enjoy, it's a nice shooter that you can share with wifey.

I remember my first with my wife as well! a glock 19. she was a sweetheart about it even though I'm sure she thought it was nonsense. listened to my crap about home protection when really a shotgun I already had would be perfect.

I have a few guns but I really haven't done much shooting in the last several years.
One day out of the blue my wife says "we need more guns". I haven't followed up though, I keep spending my money on cars.

Sure looks more "glockish" than my 1971 Browning Challenger. Still, if my old .22 is any indication, Browning makes good stuff.

(edit) Definitely the most accurate of my handguns...my other Browning is a hi-power, also made in Belgium back in the '70's.

Very nice. Congrats!

I am down to revolvers only, trading a ruger mk3 .22 for a semi auto duck gun a couple years back.

One thing to keep in mind on retirement money ... if it is stock / mutual funds, that may be half in a year or two depending on how things go. Your pistol? It will always sell for what you paid for it in a few years down the road. And the same is true for a first gen Bronco. You should educate your wife on that.

I have started to look at more tangible assets in addition to a stock portfolio. Yes, guns are high on the list!

G. i am trying to set up a grouse hunt in the Sierras. you backpack in, and plink the delicious birds out of the trees with a handgun. totally legal! i see and hear them all over up in the Golden Trout wilderness.

This is my back up if i dont draw any big game tags. and you are totally invited.

10-day wait starts....NOW!

it was pretty badass in person. feels very hefty. same general feel as a markIII. same tiny super short throw slide.

everyone was looking at their new guns after a shipment came in. 686, 92F, etc..then my tiny gun came out..it was a show stopper since nobody has seen the Contour model. not even the salesmen.

those poor grouse.

it doesnt look like a Glock. phew! my glock is not handsome

I found that arrow, but not the first one that somehow missed

Mine was in Colorado. Cooked it and added it to my freeze dried meal.
