Looks like a typical Saturday morning at a Starbucks in so Cal

I can't imagine a bigger waste of money than owning a super car in China. There's nowhere other than the track where you can even begin to stretch its legs. There are no empty stretches of road, no canyon carving to be done, no place where you can remotely enjoy the driving experience. In fact, the time between when China started getting cars and traffic became unbearable couldn't have been more than about two years. And Chinese exemplify the old adage that money can't buy class. They just want to show off who has the more expensive toy. Show up in a '71 Daytona or a '73 911RS and no one would recognize it. They'd look down on you and think you couldn't afford a nice car.

Show up with an old 911 RS around here, not too many would look twice. To them, its just old Porsche.

An ex g/f is an international business woman - has a friend in Hong Kong who owns some Ferrari. She said he rarely gets out of second gear.

It rains every Saturday morning in southern California?

I have to admit, most modern hyper cars no longer have a sculpted artistic side to them.

In the second video, I mostly just like some of the older Porsche's, Ferrari BB, Ferrari 250GT Lusso, Ferrari 550, the Lexus LFA, and the red Zonda F.

Completely agree. Ferraris and the like from the '60s through the '80s were beautiful to look at. Now I barely look twice when I see a modern super car.

Meh - I've been to Asia. I'd rather have a semi-old car in the US and have places to go in it. Worst has to be Singapore. $100k tax to buy and no place to drive it.

The subject of this thread is "Big Car Money in China", not "Spew Forth Your Negativity."
I wanted y'all to marvel at how much "Big Money" for car purchases was in China.
Maybe I'm easily impressed at how much money these guys have at their disposal.

Agreed. No different then the Ferraris at the Greystone Mansion or Pebble Beach. Just a bunch of rich folks have some fun. Nothing wrong with that.
