Does this 911 make my butt look wide....
|
Dunno. But it's kind of cool to see two cars with independent suspension and air cooled flat 6's parked side by side...
|
Let me guess, as a kid you had a hard time colouring between the lines...

Yup. |
That's Rob's car (or was Rob's car - does he still have it?). Former Catherine's Wheel singer, founder of the he uber early 911 company Singer, and long time R Gruppe member.

Why yes it does Kevin, but I still like your corvair anyway!
Am I surmising correctly that you are a car painter? Ask me how I guessed. Cheers Richard |

A short driving video...

Nice corvair in the video. I heard resently that Yenko worked over some corvairs,
Anyone come across any of these? Wonder what they did on them? Bingo Kevin, kind of like the barefooted cobblers kids of yesteryear. No big thing, once you get it all painted nicely, you may not want to drive it as much anyway. Cheers Richard |
Yenko prepared 100 cars for SCCA racing. Properly documented Yenkos can bring decent money if/when you can find one for sale. Leno has one in his collection.
And yes Richard that's been my motto for a while, "It's the shoe makers kid who goes barefoot". It's my barefooted kid but it's a ton of fun and I have no plans to paint it any time soon. |

The turbos do look like they have P.H.D.

Corvairs are neat ! Sure the spastic "bent" fan cooling belt was a PITA, but no denying it was an interesting effort by GM. Nader killed it as it could have been developed so much more
Wider butts than your's Kev :D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1488331054.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1488331054.jpg |
#24 looks to be a stock body Corvair so he's the same as mine. I'm betting they both can put me to shame when it comes to horse power, the handling characteristics might be the same though.
