the finer qualities of a $4 bottle of vodka.
there are none.
i'm shocked at the solventy flavors. my wife wants penne a la vodka or whatever it's called. so i sent her for vodka. $4 at Trader Joes. i tasted it last night and had to clean my palette with tequila. it did come in a glass bottle. without a finger hole. :) |
I had an unknown amount of Gorbatchev Vodka that we bought from a gas station while in Berlin in 1992 and puked my guts out. So I can relate to the wonders of cheap Vodka, or perhaps the quantity might have had something to do with the outcome.

My go to Vodka these days is Khortytsa from Ukraine. Not $4 a bottle but pretty good stuff for about $12.

Many long years ago when I was young and stupid I was at a buddies house. He had some other friends over and one brought some really cheap vodka and one brought some moonshine. The moonshine cost more than the cheap vodka and there were no taxes paid on the moonshine. They had some MD-20-20 and Night-train but I passed on those.
We all tasted a little of each. Both were just horrid. I stuck to beer. I still prefer beer to any liquor. There are some decent Bourbons, but they are expensive. |
Good for cleaning lenses on headlights that aren't glass -
Also good for dissolving essential oils in and spraying around - if you have a critter problem in the yard. Never drink $4 vodka.. blick |

I use very inexpensive vodka to make Kahlua, filter it a few times before using and it makes a big difference |
