Found in a wrecking yard in Baja? Yeah, right .... Just like Shelby found his "missing" 50 427 SC Cobra frames.
How convenient Does not pass the sniff test

I agree. But I'm a skeptic by nature.

Well, there used to be an "expert" in the early 911 world too. I'm still in wait and see mode. But you're right..who knows what might show up in a Mexican chop shop?
I figure no skin of my nose, anyway. I bought a Mustang to drive. And drive it I do. Was "rode hard and put away wet" after a rain soaked 85 miles today, and will be taking my bride & I to the Oregon coast on Friday. I have pretty much lost interest in the "collector car" world. Having one was akin to being married to Bo Derek and all you did was give her baths.

Yep. So, I mended my ways.
What's kind of Ironic is that McQueen never personally owned a Mustang. The movie cars were made that way to make both identical for the screen. Two highland green cars were bought, but with different trim, so the "Bullitt Mustang" was created. Mustang was selected because it was considered a car a cop might drive. According to his first wife, McQueen did buy her a Mustang, but she didn't like it. She moved into a Mercedes, if I remember correctly. Today...an icon car. Go figure.
