FWIW, they can be blocked with uBlock and other element hiders, but it's a PITA to have to do this on every machine from which I browse

I use NoScript for a small bit of security. It blocks most ads also.

Does PP get paid for these when blocked? A non-issue?

I doubt these spam links generate any PP revenue
