Show Us Your Hot Wheels!!!

After seeing a few Hot Wheels in the "Random Transportation" thread, I thought I would start a bespoke thread for those little custom machines we all grew up with!!! If ya raced them, wrecked them, polished on them, collected them, or customized them, let's see them!!!

Here are a few loose ones I have hoarded over the years. Custom Car Designer kit, factory sealed with the VW Drag Bus.
I then found a loose Drag Bus from the kit and painted some detail into it.

My eyes are bad. I thought that one behind the red baron said Muff Mobile.

My brother had the Snake. I had the Mongoose. We beat the crap out of them- with love.

He may still have them. They were favorites.

I probably had 200-300. My mom saved them and shipped them all over the world (in the military). When my dad passed away and she moved and downsized, I brought them home. We then moved and downsized so I sold almost all of them for pennies on the dollar at a garage sale. Then within 3-4 years we got our first grandson who loves em. I wish I'd kept them for him, but he wouldn't understand or care. He's got a million of em, and I've provided a bunch of those. He's got a little brother now that also loves em.

Here is one that survived my childhood, it is called Turbofire from 1968 and it has the redline removable wheels.

A few other favorites.

Here's a little homage I once made to der vaterland und her wunderbare maschinen using some hotwheels.

The cars are a 356, a few GT2's and a 917 representing Gmünd, Stuttgart and The Nürburgring. I've yet to find a decent 356 cab to represent the first Porsche car, so the 356 coupe is a cheap non-hotwheels placeholder until I can find something more appropriate. . .

The little placecards were created in photoshop.

(The map is from 1959, because that's when I was born!)

We have about 80 in the shop. We try to match them up with a clients car. Put them on the passenger seat when they pick up their car.

Sometimes a perfect match model/color wise. Sometimes model only matches. They all seem to appreciate it.

Cheers

I have all of these sets from the 60's and a few newer ones from the 90's. Will sell all for $325. Most sets are complete minus cars. Have many more photos

Cool sets!!! I always loved how they called the power station "Super Charger"!!! I always thought it was really cool how they worked with the rubber rollers spinning and would catch the side of the car to shoot it down the track.
I had some Sizzlers once, 2 cars, track set with really deep banked turns and the charger was a big gas pump that used 4 D sized batteries.

I have no idea how this one survived BB guns and flame throwers, Custom Firebird 1967!
