Air Cooled Road Trip - CA to Canada
I really enjoyed this video, three guys from Canada pick up air cooled 911s and drive them home via Route 66. It's a fun watch, especially for the "younger generation doesn't like cars" crowd.

Had to turn it off, has an incredibly corporate feel to it. It's a television commercial but not sure what the product is...doesn't matter. Pretty bad.

I tend to agree with speeder. Not much Porsche content. It's more "me,me,me and what I'm doing ". The production quality is good but just didn't hold my attention more than a third of the way.

One of these guys went to university with a friend of mine. He runs a successful startup doing video analytics, so they should know how to make high production value videos. I agree about the "me, me, me" aspect. I guess being self-promoting goes nicely with running a startup. When they were doing the trip and posting videos, my wife and I thought, we do a lot of cool road trips too but we would never think to "produce" a video about ourselves. That's the difference between someone with a good business sense and, well, chumps, I suppose.

I've also worked quite a bit in advertising/commercials at a high level and yes, this video has decent "production values" but zero creativity. It's a lame Pepsi ad w/o the Pepsi, (or Doritos/Velveeta/Masingil/whatever), just complete white bread corporate crap. Sorry.

Wow, you guys are pretty much effing up a wet dream here. I really enjoyed the enthusiasm that they all had for not only the experience but for the cars, especially in the climate of "young guys don't like cars". Made me think I need an air cooled daily driver.

Oh yeah, the screen shot @ top of page is on Santa Fe. Didn't even notice that. One Santa Fe on the right and SoCal Institute of Architecture on the left, with the cool visor.
![]() Didn't watch more than a couple minutes of it, was rubbing me the wrong way.

Wow - super fun video. Thanks for sharing!
(ps but they didn't go, or just didn't show, one of the best segments - from Oatman to Kingman!)

Sorry for the rest of you who liked the video, that I sound as bitter as certain old farts on the OT.
