Woohoo, love that show.

astrochex 04-10-2017 04:34 PM

Season 2 on Netflix?

red-beard 04-10-2017 05:23 PM

Season 3

LWJ 04-10-2017 05:53 PM

Watching season 2 with my 15 yr old son. Best TV I have ever seen. Done.

74-911 04-11-2017 03:26 AM

It just gets better every season. Taking their sweet time to really develop the characters and they certainly have some characters, only going to get better.

aschen 04-11-2017 07:01 AM

Watching season 2 right now. The nerdy guy with yellow hummer is hilarious.

biosurfer1 04-11-2017 08:59 AM

writers and producers have more time and leeway to take their time to develop thanks to Breaking Bad. When you have a show on your resume like that, the suits are more "accommodating" to letting things play out. Almost every episode has beaten the previous' ratings, so that's the payoff.

That and Vince Gilligan is a master at these types of shows!

I have to wait a couple weeks to start because I get pissed off if I have to wait another week to watch the next episode:)

Wholly Cow! I read this post on Monday......and did not realize I had missed season 2.
I like this show as well.

trader220 04-13-2017 03:03 PM

Just started watching BB. Am through season 1 and most of season 2. Very entertaining show.

Baz 04-24-2017 05:46 PM

Not much of a following on the thread.....watching the rerun of last week right now. Great show!

VincentVega 04-25-2017 06:23 AM

How is this season? I just finished last season so I 'm way behind.

Deschodt 04-25-2017 07:09 AM

It's good - but last week's episode was like watching paint dry though. I get that those guys are known for "slow" development and fleshing out characters... But we practically did the entire bug search / stake out with Armantrout in real time over that episode... A bit much ? practically reality TV....

As much as I like this show and its genitor, I've found it hard to re-watch it later (once you know the story, I've found the slower pace offputting - works the first time but second time is really tough). I hope they're not milking it because of story arc constraints with breaking bad, seems to me there's plenty to tell still - just don't need 20 minutes of looking for a gas cap again.

Scott R 04-25-2017 07:12 AM

This week is not disappointing.

Baz 04-25-2017 08:13 AM

This is the best show on TV right now, IMHO. Especially for those who come from the Breaking Bad gruppe. So happy we have so many episodes coming up and things are getting more interesting between the characters.

Mike is the star, not Saul.

He needs the next spin-off.

CurtEgerer 04-25-2017 11:36 AM

Yeah, last week's episode moved unusually slow but it was very, very good. And I generally don't like slow-moving plots (i.e., Man in the High Castle - I've tried to watch that series several times and WANT to like it, but can't get through a full episode - talk about paint drying ...).

^ +1 - absolutely!

Seen BB 4 times all the way through and like Better Call Saul very much.

However I can not figure out how they can possibly keep this going more than 1 more season before they run into the beginning of BB.

Besides how Jimmy ends up where he ends up when we meet him in BB, what else is there to know? Nothing.

And we know this is not like 10 years before BB because of everyone's age, including Mike's granddaughter

It isn't going to be just a linear development of Jimmy morphing to Saul. So many other background angles to develop, i.e how did Fring get into the meth/pollo restaurant business, what happens to Kim, Chuck, what is with the Salamanca / Fring rivalry... many possibilities to explore with many interesting charters in the mix.

What really jumps out though is how much older/tired Mikes looks in the prequel as opposed to when he first appeared in BB.

ramonesfreak 04-25-2017 12:20 PM

Why do we care about Kim? I don't care a bit for her. I don't even like her character. It's safe to assume they eventually part ways....for obvious reasons. Any other overly dramatic reason is going to really annoy me the way walking dead annoys me now

I don't care about Chuck either. It's safe to assume he dies naturally or Jimmy has Mike kill him. Either way, not sure I care or understand why this could take years to develope

We know why there is a hector/Gus rivalry. This was shown in the BB episode by the pool......at least we know why Gus hates him

I guess we never found out how Gus got into the drug business and that might be the only interesting story plot to explore here

Either way, I enjoy the show but have doubted from the beginning the necessity for its existence

Is that a serious question?

Once the timelines meet, we jump ahead to Cinnabon of course and watch Saul quit his manager position and move on to ??? Maybe he hooks up with Jesse and they get back in the meth biz??? Last week's intro showed that he is not happy keeping his mouth shut and is ready to go ballistic in some manner. Just a guess

I think she's a great character, always on the edge of ethical behavior just to help Jimmy.

911 Rod 05-10-2017 08:34 AM

She'd be much prettier with a smile.

CurtEgerer 05-10-2017 10:03 AM

The one timeline I can't figure out is Hector. How do we get from young dark-haired Hector as he is now on BCS to old white-haired Hector on BB where he appears to be 10+ years older. I realize he is on the verge right now of getting F'ed up in major way and into a wheelchair, but that won't account for the apparent aging??

I still like her.
