My friends new (1951) chevy PU

I like this one,. 4 link rear, a/c, nice interior (DIY). Lotta Hot rods around this spring.

This guy (this truck) said today. "You know I'm in my seventies and I thought I was out of this nonsense about old cars and trucks, until I saw you hot roddin around in the middle of winter with your old car, and I was hooked again" "not sure if I'm mad at you or not". He has, along with this truck (his wifes BTW) a super nice Model A coupe and a 52, slammed 2dr chevy coupe. I'm guessing he's not too mad at me.

That '51 truck makes my big toe stand up in my boot.

In some recent drives I have done in the county, I have come across a '72 El Camino body, a '72 Corvette body and two mid-fifties Chevy trucks (including a split window like this one). The ElCo is complete junk with no suspension, drivetrain, or front-clip and standing water/mold/moss in the cab. The Vette looks about the same.
But those two trucks are tugging at me to stop by and ask. They both look dry, complete, surface rust only and begging to get on the road again.

Go get 'em! Right now, I think the early 50's chevy PU's are the hottest game in town. They're big and curvy. Perfect, they make my old piece of junk look like a piece of junk!

Me too. My first "car" was a 50 Chevy pick up. I would like to have one now but I am not willing to pony up the $$$$$$, they command.

I've liked old trucks for as long as I can remember. The '47 through '53 Chevy's are my favorite right now. Funny thing as a kid before I could even drive I preferred the 3 window. Now i'm a 5 window guy. Unfortunately I can't have everything I want and a Miata's my thing now.

Not my thing, but sounds like the old guy is having fun. There are enough AD Chevys around that ratting another one out is no big loss.
