1st Amendment Audit
Has any one here seen the 1st amendment audits on You Tube.......I am addicted to watching these guys go around filming from public sidewalks and get stopped and harassed by cops and Federal Agents who mostly don't know that using a camera in public is not a CRIME.

I watch them. The second amendment audits are good as well. Both usually include fourth amendment education. I love cops. One guy in Texas who does it is a former Federal Cop and he has the right attitude about why he does it; there are a few bad cops who put the good cops in danger, he weeds them out.
I did not know until recently that states differ in stop and ID law. |

A friend of mine is a Sheriff's deputy in my county. He was in IT for 15 years before becoming a cop. His attitude is that he is there to help the public and 90%+ of people are law abiding. He tells me that the "hot heads" are rare on the county force but common on the local municipal forces.
If presented with someone filming him, he'd probably invite them for a ride-along, or just be his normal, friendly, helpful self. He's fully aware that most of the public's interface with police (speeding tickets and such) is negative and he wants police to be community partners, not dicks with badges.
