ignore list?
Question.. I've never used the ignore list, but curious how it works. If someone adds you to their ignore list, do you not see their posts either?, or do they only not see yours? Also, if someone has ignored you, can you still search for them and see their profile page? Can you still send them a PM?

I believe ignore works in one direction only.
How am I seeing your post? You're on my ignore list! |
No idea--I don't use it. Ignore is for people who need a safe space to hide while wearing their pussy hats and waiting for their counselors to check in with them.

The reason I ask is, I've recently noticed that I can't see when a certain person posts any replies in any given threads. I see where people quote him and I'm just wondering why I can't see his original posts. I have had no interaction with him at all ever I don't think, so was wondering if I was on his list for same reason or it's a glitch or something? I have no one on my list that I know of..

I think his most current screen name has been banned. |

The Ignore list blocks you from reading the post of the person you chose to ignore.
I like if based on the following philosophy: Never wrestle with a pig. You'll both get dirty and the pig loves it. Why waste time on stupidity? I don't ignore people I disagree with. I ignore trolls and people who will argue about anything just to argue. |
Most people who put person X on their ignore lists constantly post things like: "I can't see what X wrote, because he is on my ignore list!" Which kinda defeats the whole premise. They don't ignore people because they don't want to read what they say--they broadcast it as a sign of disrespect. Then they usually go back and read it anyway.
I find it easy to ignore people whose posts are worthless. My computer has a high-tech scroll down feature. Works like a charm. |
I'm sorry, did you say something?
I usually post one time to notify the person "I'm done with you". It could be seen as having the last word. Either way, after that I have no idea what they do or say unless someone quotes them in a reply. |
