Not really. That thing is not a thin fiberglass body of radically different shape and proportions to the car that it's modeled after on a tube frame like those funny cars. It's obviously been heavily modified, but it still looked like it was a steel LC body.
Sure, to take what is normally, what 300hp, and bump it up to 2000, there were obviously some major changes to the power train and drive line. Also, to make the thing safe at that speed, they had to do some major suspension and braking changes. Still, it's pretty impressive.
