Tired of killing your front splitter on steep driveway cuts?
Neat idea....never seen this before. Does any other sports car have this option?

A new record, 3 minutes for this thread to hit the bidet.....

Curious if it's automatic with speed, like Porsche's rear wings.
Lamborghinis raise the front suspension four inches to clear stuff, but it's driver controlled. Push the button on the center console, and up goes the nose. It stays up, with a warning light on the dash, until the driver lowers it. |
I like it, Joe Bob.
Ms Gogars pannymera will lift the whole car up, but you have to remember to push the button. She never remembers. |

Not a fan of anything automatic. Doesn't take the POPO long to notice what speed it pops up...de facto speeding ticket. I even removed the auto fan t-state feature on my front fender cooler. I'll turn it on when "I" want it on. Plus if I remember correctly it was a bit too high for my taste anyways. |
Alfa Romeo. What are the odds it will still work in two years?
|
Chevy Volts need that feature. The front air dam is only 3" off the ground. Big design flaw.
|
Poor Kach. I told him he could not live that down.

Lots of high end sports cars have various auto-aero features these days. There's something that actually varies the aero (front and rear, IIRC) independently from side to side if you're turning. Maybe a Pagani? Various Ferrari, Mclaren, Lambo these days have active aero front and/or rear.
|
My 90s Mitsubishi 3000 GTVR4 had an air damn that did this along with the rear wing's angle change at speed. I think it can also be activated with an interior switch to keep it stationary
|
Just enter the drive at a slight angle and no problems. Only scrapes when BOTH front wheels go thru the lowest place at the same time.

Huracan that broke the Ring record has Active Aero.. more so then the Alfa does

The new 911 turbo has a deploying front spoiler but it's inflatable rubber.

Most daily drivers need a better front end.
Bumper height is 6". Stopper curb height is 9". (I can has maths sometimes really but it be very difficult. 6-9=(+)3. I thinks. Or is that a (-)3 ? Uhhhhhh. Yes it absolutely and actually is minus 3. Meaning that the automobile bumper height and any curb height are absolutely guaranteed to collide. But lets get a second opinion from the astrophysicists anyway. Because some of the professional engineers here still don't um 'believe' kach could ever be correct.) So in conclusion: 1)- the vehicle is specifically and purposely designed to tear a thousand bucks in plastic off the front end of the car 2)- during normal public driving. |
I've got extra heavy duty tow hooks that I welded in myself. So I go around doing the harm to other peoples driveways :D
