Vw cc

Any one have or had one ? My wife is looking at an 2015 vw CC. Good or bad idea? Thanks

This is the 4 door "coupe"?

My uncle owns one in Hungary and I've travelled long European distances in one.

Pluses
Its a Passat underneath which should mean reliable. Well finished interior.

Minuses
If you have tall kids or plan on transporting adults in the back you may want to think again. That sexy roofline means severe headroom problems. I'm 6'1'' and my head was against the roof in the back.

Overall I think its a good looking car

They stopped making them if that matters.

Looks like they are making them again for 2017.

They should still be made in de. So kinda high end of the volkswagens.
If they came with a diesel engine in the US it would be an interesting car....

For us "non-VW" types, what's a CC?

CurtEgerer 05-11-2017 12:35 PM

My brother has one of these. Has had chronic alignment issues (rear, I think) that eats tires since it was new. Common problem with these from what he's told me. Nobody's been able to solve it. Other than that, just your usual VW-Audi problems which is another thread on its own :D

The CC is a Passat with a coupe roofline and four doors.
I drove one a year or so ago. Handled well, decent power.
I wouldn't want to drive with the sun roof open at highway speeds. There seemed to be a resonance.
I can fit in the back (6'2"), but wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there.
Best
Les

I have several friends that have had them and liked them, but they haven't been the most reliable. Damn good looking cars though.
