i have a 86 ranger i think the rear u joint is going out is which u joint is most likeley to go out it has 100 thousand miles on it if so how much is a new u joint and what do i need to do to get a new one in..... thx

Even a mechanical idiot like myself has done a U Joint on a Ford truck (76 F100 4x4). They shouldn't be more than $15.00 for the part. when apart why not do both. They sound like twisting beer cans when they start to go bad. I had 170,000 miles on my Ranger and didn't have a problem with the U joints. That was one good truck......
