Maybe getting Stupid for Mother's Day
 

Mrs. Hugh R and I both sort of hate Mother's day and Father's day and trying to go out for brunch/dinner, given the stupid waiting times at restaurants.

She said instead, she'd really like some lobster like we had in Kennebunkport, Maine last summer, So I ordered two and had them overnight shipped. $125, yeah its a lot, but she is worth every penny. I figure I'll break even with going to an overpriced restaurant that doesn't take reservations on Mother's Day. I'll be doing them baked/stuffed with shallots, shrimp and scallops, and a little Italian parsley and some other seasonings. Some saffron rice, a nice salad, with avocado, and a nice bottle of wine.

I expect to get ****ed ! Plus taking her to a Billy Joel concert tomorrow night at Dodger's Stadium

Heading to Maine this summer again. Last time we ordered or lobster and picked them up prepared from the local store and wrapped in newspaper
It even included the butter!

Yeah, seems normal to me. Our MDs for the last couple of years has involved me coercing the grandsons into making brunch for the womenfolk. With my help they struggled through scrambled eggs and toast while I mix the Screwmosas (what happens when a screwdriver and a mimosa land in the same blender). Womens were touched by all the love.

From the thread title I thought maybe "stupid" was a puppy or something.
