I'm not sure how to say this...just a half-assed insight from watching how he interacted with his employees and others on his show.
Sometimes I can get a sense of a person, even when not in person, and sometimes it's spot-on and other times it's way off base.
.
I did mention this to my neighbor (a gun nut) one time.
The energy I got from this guy was that he harbored more than his share of testosterone. He stuck me as being willing to impose himself upon others in a not-so-subtle manner. I recall his style of interacting with his employees, at times, as bordering on verbal and emotional abuse.
Just a hit I got from watching him.
Again, maybe half-assed, but that's the sense I got from watching him.
.
But then, who cares?

the show was terrible and I don't think you are stepping to far out on a limb to say he came off as dick and overly "macho".

I thought he was a prick after watching his show for three minutes.
May he get his salad tossed on a daily basis.
He deserves no less.

I got the same sense. I much preferred American Guns. I thought Hayden was extremely abusive to his employees and his daughter seemed to me to have a victim's learned acquiescence to her father.

I noticed that also about his daughter's demeanor.
A posture not unlike traumatic bonding, "...daddy can do no wrong."

Life for rape...holy moly this may be the first time I've heard of a Life sentence for rape. I pray that his victims can find some peace.

I heard the daughter and her husband were brought up on child abuse charges. Perhaps apples do not fall far from the tree in this case.

It's an extreme case.

"forcible rape for raping two young girls over the course of two decades."

I can't imagine those girls ever having a normal life.

To be clear I believe he deserves the sentence...or more.

Another creepy thing... If you watched the show, it appeared that the daughter's now husband went from asking her out on a date to being told (by the father) to marry her in three episodes. Something seemed off about the whole thing.

I don't think there should be a "life sentence" for any crime and tax the prison system any more than it already is. If you did something that bad to deserve a life sentence, a firing squad is in order. It would save the taxpayers countless millions of dollars, and perhaps, just maybe, might keep some of these idiots from performing these bad acts on humanity if they know what happened to the last guy who did it.

OK but years ago I read an article that claimed it was more expensive to execute someone than keep them in gaol for life.

The legal process to execute someone must be long and very expensive.

The Chinese bill the family for the bullet.....just sayin'.

I am ALL for quick resolution of a death sentence IF the playing field was level. IE, adequate initial representation at the FIRST trial. This BS of endless appeals and first year lawyers repping an indigent client isn't the right way to go.

Kind of like medical treatment....fix the problem early and it is less expensive and better for everyone.

There should be an option given to the one being sentenced
- Life , no parole, hard time, with Bubba

- a bullet and 50 grand towards his own family (you know an incentive)

50 grand is nothing compared to the real cost of life
And it allows everbody closure.
The Vic's or Vic's family put it behind them, and know that the dirt bag is dead.
State saves a ****load of money
And the family of the dead one is getting 50 grand to shut up about it.

heard a show on NPR recently on the subject of death penalty. total mindfark hearing people who demand the right to murder their own infants get all bent out of shape over giving a murderer the death penalty.
