Anyone's know spiders?
I killed this sucker at the place I'm staying on the Central Coast here in CA - recognize it?

Looks like a Hobo spider

Damn - I definitely think you nailed it with hobo spider. Thanks!
I don't normally worry much bout anything other than black widows, but this one just concerned me. There seems to be quite a bit of debate about lethality, but it IS apparently venomous, and apparently it's a nasty bite. |
Yup, one of the 3 in the US that will hurt ya. There are others that will leave a nasty mark as well but the Widow, Recluse, and Hobo will but some folks into the ER.

Spiders and snakes fall into one of two categories:
Good ones and ones still alive. Yeah yeah, I know about black snakes helping keep rodents away. |
