I like the idea of 2 53' high tops about 30' apart and connected by a roof from a steel building
That was storage & covered parking![]() What I would really like to do is something like this.

Seal the POO out of the floor. You simply do not want to know what chemicals that wood has been sprayed with to kill bugs.

I believe the floors are like 1 inch marine plywood. And yeah, probably treated. Also who knows what toxic crud may have been spilled on them during its service life. On my built, I decked over the floor with 1/2 inch chip board, sealed that and then put vinyl flooring on top of that.

There is a company that welds them together to make 80' and 120" that turn them into indoor firing ranges.

How did you prep the ground? Is it on leveling blocks or just sitting on the ground?

Before installing a screen wall at the large door end and adding furniture. Small shower and sink as well as a toilet behind the door at the other end.
![]() Added a hip roof. Small window for the bathroom.

At the end of the day, is it any cheaper to build with containers than to stick-build or modular-build off-site? What’s the application where it makes sense, assuming the aesthetic isn’t a factor?

I have 3-20 ft, and a navy surplus 20 ft aluminum office container.
The surplus one is by far the best buy at roughly 2k during covid. Insulation, ductwork, wiring, as well as all of the office set up. Saved a bunch of money on the surplus that one over diy.

I think it just depends what you want. If you want a normal house Floorplan it'll be hard. If you want a small cabin, or module design each room into a separate container.
