Honda S2000 brake question

Odd issue with a buddy's '00 Honda S2000 (~100,000 miles)

We replaced all the rotors, pads, calipers, and fluid today. .

- When the brakes lines were disconnected from both front calipers there was next to no flow of fluid.
- Rears drained as expected.
- Pressure bled (Motive) the system and followed Honda's procedure (FL, FR, RR, RL).
- Again very little flow from both front calipers
- Rears bled as expected
- Upon test driving the car and while bedding in the brakes, the car pulls to the left under hard braking
- Also, brakes don't seem to engage right away. There is some pedal travel and then THEY'RE THERE (along with the pull to the left). Braking overall is good. No mushiness beyond the initial travel.
- Pedal is firm and doesn't sink under continuous pressure

I'm suspecting that the front flex hoses are blocked/collapsed. There is substantial corrosion on all the hose connections. See pic as an example.

I suppose a suspension problem could be the culprit, or even uneven tire pressure, but the lack of fluid flow from the front is what stands out in my mind.

Any ideas? Similar experience? Possibly air still in the system?

Thanks!

Sounds like you figured it out. If pressure keeps one rotor hotter than the other, you will experience uneven braking.

I'll go out on a limb and say the car is driven salt or shine.

Previous owner winter drove the car for years. It barely sees rain now.

Regardless, the underside of the car could use some attention!

17 year old brake hoses are about 7 years overdue for replacement, using accepted maintenance practices. He'll have fun doing that job, w the corrosion damage.

Conquer, likely collapsed lines.

We used the factory manual for the bleeding instructions, torque settings, etc. and there is no mention of anything special being required with regards to the ABS.

The only thing that is different from most is the bleed order (FL, FR, RR, RL)
