Batman has died

Adam West passed away, he was always Batman to me. RIP, Mayor of Quahog

He was the prototypical Batman. Loved the campy nature of the TV show. Absurd at times, yet West staunchly protected the character he developed later on. At least we will still have the reruns.

Tragic... He was a good guy. RIP.

Made it to age 88. Pretty good run, eh?

It sounds like he went through a slow patch, but made it back into the lime light.
I'm glad he had that, I loved his show as a kid.

I wonder why actors who played super heroes in those old programs had trouble finding work later on. Another example is the actor who played Super Man in the old TV series. He committed suicide later on if I remember right.

George Reeves. He had some struggles.

RIP Adam West.

Says his net worth is 6 million on one of those silly websites. House in Palm Springs is probably a third of that. Bet he made a decent living from appearances.

He turned down the role of Jame Bond AFTER Batman & was in Hooper.

Adam West, best known as TV's Batman, was also offered the job. According to his memoir, West also rejected the offer, believing that it was meant for a British actor. While playing Bruce Wayne certainly demonstrated West's ability to become a suave undercover playboy, the best James Bond demo reel on his resume might have been a commercial for Nestlé Quik.

That;'s what I was thinking.
How long does someone have to live before their death stops being a "tragedy"?
