Very cool stuff. I love looking back at this type of thing and seeing how people actually dressed and lived and looked.

If you liked that, you may also like this site. I'd guess there are hundreds if not more photos here. Most are black and white, but the scans of most are ultra hi-res (you can click the photo to get a full size view). They are all or mostly US based, and I think they range from the early 1900s or late 1800s through much later. Most are nearly 100 years old.

I thought Kodak invented color, before that I thought the world was only made up of shades of gray.

Thanks Masraum for posting your link. Some of those pics in full size are incredible.
I started flipping through them, and then noticed there are 1000's of pages.
It might take awhile!:D

One pic I cannot figure out is this lady posted below. The picture has a pleasantly narrow depth of field. She is in a fairly sharp focus, the foregound plant is in very sharp focus, and the background is not, which is great, however, the soft out of focus background spins behind her. In the lower right corner (our lower right) the tree trunk is soft as would be expected, and is not spinning, yet the leaves behind her umbrella blur in the nicest way.

I wonder it the leaves were blowing in the background and it was a long enough exposure to capture the rustling in the breeze. It would be an amazing shot, as she (in the foreground) is not in the wind as far as I can tell.

It looks like a 1900's composite photoshop with layering and a blur feature. It's got me wondering!
