Love the 34 Ford and the 60 Chevy. I wonder if that's a 409 or the stock 348?

It's a 348. I have one also BTW,

It's just that: "California Special" has different (more) taillights and extra badging and scoopes . I never thought them to be very "special" at all.

That California Special is originally a Calgary car.
My parents '64 Galaxie 500 had the same Metro Ford thunder bird badging on it.

Pretty much describes it. One of the beginning cars of the "design by decal" cars. The "no go showboats", if you will.
