Geniuses from Minnesota

Woman who shot boyfriend now charged with manslaughter | WDAY

Good grief, kids these days are getting even stupider than I previously thought possible. And worse news is they're reproducing!

sammyg2 06-28-2017 11:18 AM

We need to outlaw stupid people.

But then again, maybe it's just like Darwin said:

Predictable tragedy; very sad for the children.

sammyg2 06-28-2017 11:26 AM

Yep, I'd be really said if I had parents like that.

HardDrive 06-28-2017 02:21 PM

What book did he shoot the first time that a .50 didn't go through?! The New Delhi phone book?

speeder 06-28-2017 02:44 PM

Where does it say Minnesota? Can't find that. Strange link.

maxnine11 06-28-2017 03:17 PM

The article starts out: Norman County

WDAY is out of Fargo. Halstad sits just across the MN-ND border.

Out of fairness, the names are not exactly scandahoovian.

Gotta get that hit count higher on youtube.

No ****. This stunt would be stupid with a .22. With a .50, it ended pretty much as expected.

Exactly, although, I could see a few things making a bit of a difference. (ignoring the fact that we're talking about a 50 cal) Was the book just standing up when he shot it. What kind of paper and covers did it have. How far away was it when he "tested" it, etc....

Well, it's a shame for the kids.

widebody911 06-28-2017 06:07 PM

That isn't how the Darwin Award thing is supposed to work...

Yeah, my thought too. What kind of book can stop a .50?

aigel 06-28-2017 10:59 PM

Not surprisingly, you will need several phone books ... check out that slug!

Total insanity to go down range of a gun, no matter what's in front of you.

Getting clicks is more important than ever to kids these days - this isn't the first and won't be the last fatality or serious injury trying to make a viral video, unfortunately.

She shot him. Suspect no testing.

pavulon 06-29-2017 06:06 AM

Where did these two come up with a .50 cal rifle to begin with?

aigel 06-29-2017 07:07 AM

Any or you guys read the article?

.50 cal pistol and the guy apparently "tested" ...

No, just watched the vid. So test was done with the phone book and the shooting was done with Where's Waldo, I guess?
