School and non profit fundraiser

Just a bit of info for those looking at school or non profit offers.

Texas Roadhouse does a lot of community work with schools and non profits. They give out free coupons to schools and offer fundraising opportunities. At the current time they have two active offers.

The 1st offer is for schools and targets reading. Kids read a book and they get a Texas Roadhouse Bookmark that can be used for a free Ranger Meal. A couple for slider burgers, chickenstraps, 4 ribs etc. Depending on the meal chosen it can be worth up to $11.99 (my local price). A full adult meal must be on the table ticket to receive the free Ranger Meal. No charge to the school for the Bookmarks. They gave me 100 of them for my sister's middle school.

The 2nd offer is a fund raiser opportunity. They will sell you a case of their individual bagged peanuts for their cost, $35. 72 bags per case. So, about 50 cents a bag, not including tax. Attached to each bag is an appetizer coupon. Rattlesnake bites, onion, cheese fries, up to tha rib appetizer with 4 ribs and a side ($12.49 local price). There is no need for any other purchase to use the coupon. Only one coupm per table. You can sell the bag of peanuts for whatever price you wish. I got 2 cases, 144 bags for my sister's school. She plans of selling them for $4. She'll net $500 it she sells both cases. She can get more if she can unload this first batch. She wants to get some outdoor furniture for a foyer at her school.

So, I got 100 Bookmarks and 144 appetizer coupons. Up to nearly $3000 in meals for $70.
