I use Amazon Prime all the time....love it.
That said...the sales they offer on Prime Day and the Daily Deals on the website, are mostly products that are older, off-brand, and things they can't get rid of.

I'm not sure there is a better example of a massively successful company doing something befitting a backwoods dollar store.

Heck even Black Friday has jumped the shark.
