What type kitchen cabinet hinge is this and where can I buy it!?
Well, one of these broke in my kitchen and a search comes up empty!
I was hoping one of the experts on the board could help identify/name the type, and help me with the place where I could buy a replacement !? Not preferred, but if I can't get a direct replacement, what's the closest thing I could adapt? Thanks much!!! George |

Ok - found this - looks like an adequate replacement. But can't find it either ...

George,
A typical Blum Compact 33 hinge will do. The overlay distance is in the base plate, the part that wraps around the face frame of the cabinet. How much does the door cover the frame on the hinge side when door is shut? That's would be the overall distance. Its usually 3/4". |
hinge and plate are sole separately

I think that's a hinge made by Schrock (spelling uncertain) I have those in my house as well. Where the problem comes in is the holes that attach it are different on newer hinges. You should be able to get those at Home Depot. If you have trouble finding it let me know and I can get some from a friend in the cabinet business.
Just looked on Amazon. Type in "Blum cabinet hinge" and you'll find one that will work. |
Its metal, yes? How about trying a repair with JB weld?
