Interesting hybrid...........

Saw an episode of GEARZ yesterday that had a bit on a Karmann Ghia that a guy was building. He had cut off the original roof and welded on the roof from a 911! Made a very cool looking little coupe. The engine was a warmed over 914 so it was definitely a VW/Porsche combo. Some people are soooooo creative!

Not my cup of tea, but I appreciate the skill.

I always wondered what they do for glass....

Nice shape. I don't like the color or the wheels and it sits too low, but that roof line really works with the Karman Ghia body.

At least he isn't using his skill to bolt gofasters on a new Dodge Charger.

That looks like a normal Ghia roof to me.

I couldn't find any pictures of the project in the "done" state; all I I found were some crappy pix that someone took of their TV screen with a digital camera...

I couldn't imagine it, but I think it looks pretty good. Incredible craftsmanship...

That is one of the pictures I saw on "GEARZ". There were some others, all showing the car in a state of construction. Looked to be just about ready for paint.
