Honey, why don't you clean the pool?

Maybe later,

Hey Hugh, I am out putting up a fence? What gives? You training for a relaxed retirement?

Hugh R 07-07-2017 01:15 PM

Uh, I'm sort of thinking about retirement, and NOT having a cardiac arrest, you? maybe not so much.

Which reminds me, I've gotta put some more coal on the A/C and crank it down.

Baz 07-07-2017 01:28 PM

Went out and did some work this morning. Surprisingly only went through 2 tank tops!

My latest model for easing into retirement is to not take on any new projects from June through September.

Too damn hot AND HUMID!

Hugh R 07-07-2017 01:33 PM

109 and its humid for SoCal, like 30% its killing me. Not going to go well when/if I move to PA to visit my grandsons.

Tobra 07-07-2017 01:40 PM

You get used to humid, or I did.

Hot here today too, or that is what they tell me. I have not been outside since 08:30

red-beard 07-07-2017 01:55 PM

I looked outside and said to my wife it was starting to rain.

She said: "Raining what? Fire?"

Evans, Marv 07-07-2017 01:56 PM

I keep going outside to do things. Once out, I decide it's too hot and come back in - & it's only in the mid 90s here. Hence her I am on PPOT.

78 here, can't stand it. Hugh, what town did you move to?

flatbutt 07-07-2017 02:07 PM

It was chucking down rain here this morning. The wheel barrow had about 4 inches in it. Then the sun came out and sauna-fied it all. But at least I don't need to shovel that water off of the driveway!

87 and not so breezy here, and humid.

Seven months of the year here are wonderful. July to October are hot. November 1 it cools down nicely.

Baz 07-07-2017 02:57 PM

For us older lads (63 for Hugh and I) I've come to realize working in the heat zaps a TON of energy out of you.

What normally might be an 8 hour day - turns into a 4 hour day. And you've expended the same amount of energy.

Once you've come to accept this....working only 4 hours per day isn't so bad on the old ego... :)

Went out to my patio this morning at 3:30 to take a whizz with my pooch - 101 degrees.
Yesterday afternoon it was 116 degrees in that patio shade.
Monsoon is supposed to be coming next week.

LEAKYSEALS951 07-07-2017 03:30 PM

At 109 degrees- tell your wife that you are waiting for the pool to evaporate so you can hit it with the leaf blower when it dries out.

Work Smart. Not Hard.
