What's the going rate now...

for a simple smog check in California?

Daily driver needs a check this year. Finding prices all over the place.
What have you guys been paying?

Hey Scott,

Yeah, just went through that with my DD. Around $60 for me as well, but I am required to use only a STAR station due to the age of the car. I believe that usually means a higher charge due to the requirements imposed upon the testing station (equipment, for example). $40 is cheap, and if it is a station you are allowed to use, go for it.

I can't remember if I had to get it smogged two years ago or not. Probably did, just can't remember now. Gettin' old sucks. It's a 2011 Honda w/only 38k miles on it so it should pass no problem, I hope.
I'll have to look for some coupons on-line.

59.95 just a couple months ago. I remember when Earl Scheib would paint my car for 99.95. Times have changed.
