Another Porsche-to-Viper post
I sold my 911 and started looking around. Ran across a low mile, stock, '96 RT/10 with A/C and a nice aftermarket hard top, OEM soft top, and more. Not a scratch on the car. Price was decent, so i bought it.
Wife: Um, It has no door handles? Me: Hell, it has no windows! Took the car around CMP a few times. Super easy to drive. It handles like a big Miata. On the street it gets tons of attention. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1501276566.jpg |
Congrats! Time to change your signature! :D

Really it has no windows? I did not know that. So does the wife get in dukes of hazard style:D. Always liked the vipers enjoy.
|
Windows slide onto the doors akin to an old British sports car or a '65 Ford Cobra. To open the door you reach inside. Also missing is ABS, stability control, cruise, and most everything else found on a new car. They weren't available. Just 8 liters of fun!
Bollywood (my wife) LOVES the Viper. Okay, she loves the attention the Viper receives. |
I remember when those first came out. The rear tires were MASSIVE for those times! Tons of power, but was marketed as a So Cal car with the no windows etc.. The early ones had side pipes too!
|
Never been a fan of Vipers, but I imagine the performance would become intoxicating....the attention ? Not so much !
|
I'm sure it gets up and goes as well as attracts a lot of attention but,uh...please pass the eye bleach.
|
That rocks. I could live with a Viper in the garage. The attention, not so much. You would be like a celebrity driving that around here. I get noticed way too much in my Cayman in this one horse town.

Got Dang! Kinda like........a lot.
