Cross the bay to Fantasy Junction and EASY (they have a monthly Saturday morning meet).
The Blackhawk museum is pretty cool too - not necessarily air cooled, but some outstanding iron there.

Saturday the 16th the Huntington Beach Pier (longest pier on the west coast) will be lined on both sides with split window VW buses. A hundred more will line Main Street across from the pier.

Hmmm. I just rode back from San Fran to LA today via motorcycle.

On Sunday the 16th in LA, there's always Supercar Sunday. It's actually over in Woodland Hills, in a mall parking lot at the corner of Topanga Cyn Blvd and Oxnard St. 8-10, cars and coffee type gathering.

If you're into bikes, over in Venice, the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club has their annual event. Lunchtime/afternoon affair. They're raffling off a 1950's era Triumph they custom built. Music, vendors, bikes, food, etc.

I've seen Cars Dawydiak's ads on Craigslist, and they seem to be overpriced. Though I might pay a visit if they don't mind lookyloos.

If you're willing to drive a little further, I think San Diego PCA's annual concours is the morning of the 16th. LA chapter just had theirs yesterday, and notable cars were a pair of 911Rs (one old, one new), a 959, a CGT, and a 991 GT3RS.
