Alexa can't find my Nest

New townhouse, new nest, old Echo Dot. It finds my Hue lighting bridge, but not the Nest. I've tried a dozen suggestions from a Google search.

Any experts here?

Thanks

Don't you need a hub like Wink? I'm waiting for the Wink 2 to come down in price. I run my Sensi smart thermo from my phone until I get a hub. IMO the Echo isn't ready for prime time, I unplugged mine & will probable go Google AI.

Old house old nest same. Echo Dot worked fine at the old crib.

What about the router...same or new?
If it's a diff one...will have to be re-connected to new network.
Nest Cam? or Nest thermostat?

Or ip addresses changed, but something has a static setting. Did SSID change for the network, or the key, or security type?

Sufficient wireless coverage? No interference from other devices/networks?

New router, like I said found the Hue lights just fine.

My 28 y/o Son came by last night and fixed it within literally 30 seconds. He just logged out of my Alexa account on my iPhone and logged back in and told it to "discover my devices" and there it was. I'd tried that a few times without logging out first, apparently that was the key.
