Mr Mercedes

I heard a very positive review on this new series, based on the Stephen King novel. Starts 8/9.

Mr. Mercedes | An AT&T Original Series on AUDIENCE Network

AT&T(network/distribution) may be getting into producing original media content.
Just the same as Disney(producing) is shutting out Netflix to control its product all the way to the consumer.
There may be a sudden change-up in entertainment corp structures.
Everyone is getting into vertical trust.

But can they sustain it with enough diverse content for the consumer to commit?
Or is cable tv finally going to be sold by-the-channel, instead of offering only the 150 channel lump package which subsidizes sports.

I'm not liking this "everyone will stream their own stuff" trend, and wish everyone would have stuck with Netflix or Amazon. I've got EIGHT different apps already, and they're all much more poorly done than the Netflix interface. Plus, the Big 3 apps seem to need an update every time I use them. If I need yet another app, I'll skip this new show.
