Hurricane Harvey Report Around 9" of rain overnight. Cell phone weather alerts went nuts around 2 AM as small tornadoes popping up all around us. Cancelled the last alert around 5 AM. These are small storms that are very common with hurricanes. They don't last long but can still take a roof off. Much more rain in forecast for next 3-4 days and predicting all rivers in this area to set record high crests over the next few days. This is going to get nothing but worse. Port Aransas, Rockport, Aransas Pass ,etc. got hit really hard. If any of you are on storm teams or FEMA and heading this way, bring plenty of mosquito repellant as there will be a literal plague of them in about a week. |

So far we have been fortunate. We are right in the middle of Houston. Our kids are south and southeast of Houston. So far they are both good too. Good luck everyone! |

I forgot to mention something. They are putting up 3 homes on the opposite corner from our place. They are mostly complete. Two hispanic guys showed up this morning and are, I think, cutting tile and working. They were there all day yesterday too. |
