We've got the exact same gun. Well played sir.

Love the quality of build and materials. The hold and sights are opposite of our wheel guns (S&W) so I'm not a fan of the Sig for defense. Takes me 10 rounds to get comfortable with it...I am a total amateur.

Me too! Put the inaugural 100 rounds through her today. What a nice feel. My aim needs work but far better with this gun than our little .38 revolver. The quality is very evident. So far, so good!

Sept. 2017 American Rifleman has an interesting piece. 35 women shooting 18 different guns, then polled what they liked best. In Order, the top 5:

1. Sig P238 (.38 apc)
2. Walther CCP (9mm luger)
3. Sig P320 (9mm luger)
4. H&K VP9 (9mm luger)
5. Springfield MP4 (9mm luger)

So, add to your Christmas list..:)

Sign up for CDNNs daily sales email - I've seen factory 22x mags for under $20 each...

My son returned from Ft. Knox last week with a new passion for firearms. He likes vintage and bought a Mosin Nagant M38 today from 1943. I decided our little S&W 38, with accuracy only slightly better than throwing a rock 30 feet, wasn't adequate for home defense and no fun for target shooting.

After some research and recommendation from a knowledgeable friend, we stopped by the Armory on the way home and picked up a Sig Sauer P226 Legion chambered in 9mm with SRT, night sites, and a killer grip. Hope to get to the range in the next few days to put some inaugural rounds through her.

I have a Sig 220 that I have had for many years. Have put lots of .45 ACP rounds downrange with it! Only recently (about 2 yrs ago) did I realize that Sig makes a very nice .22 rimfire conversion for the 226, 229 and 220. They are very good quality, accurate and work well with few failures to feed, fire or eject. The conversion that I bought for my P220 has adjustable sights with the "2 bar" sighting picture. Magazines are fairly reasonable and cost about $35-40 each. The mags for the P220 hold 10 rds but can easily be modified to hold 13 rds. The P226 .22 mags come to hold 10 but can be modified to hold 15 rds. The conversion kits sell for around $250 and come with 1 mag in a nice hard case.

This is a .22 conversion kit for a Sig P220, P226 or P229, just not positive which one it is. I think it is for a P226 but would need a better look at the magazine to be sure.
