Growing Body Parts
https://www.livescience.com/59675-body-parts-grown-in-lab.html?utm_source=notification
Why does it seem that in the not to distant future we will be able to manufacture all the spare parts we need, be connected forming a singularity and have AI do more then we could ever figure out? Does anyone else see this coming soon then later?

We're probably going to innovate ourselves out of existence sooner than later. The big nation states and groups of states that can pool resources are probably going to experience races to develop AI along with genetic engineering. Generically engineered beings will probably be an intermediate step between us and the ultimate combination of AI and organic parts.

Imagine a new pancreas for people with Type one diabetes.
How about a new heat and lungs? Liver anyone? The mind boggles but I think most of us will be gone before this becomes a common reality. Our children and grand children will see this for sure. How about a cure for aging? What if they could keep you biologically 21 years old forever? Imagine be able to live for more than a thousand years. What would people pay for that?

It would be a corruption of society & democracy. It would consolidate power in those who can afford it and enslave those who can't. The only way it should ever be allowed on the condition that they feck off from this planet, never to return again. Space exploration only. This planet is already to crowded to have people not die when their time is due. Besides, who wants to live for every anyway. I'm already fed up from dealing with people all the time.. Why would anybody want that crap for 1000 years ? (another vote for space right there)

That would negate the point of growing them if they haven't solved that part. Generally growing would happen with some kind of seed to grow from, stem cells Those would be yours, making the new organ a perfect match.
