Pondering the imponderable

OK I'm bored. A friend gave me a nice 2 lb venison roast and I'm using it to make a pot of Carbonara Criolle. Lots of watching and stirring and sitting around going on.

So... Last night I was brushing my dog's teeth and it occurred to me that I have never seen meat flavored toothpaste for people. Why is that? Wouldn't it be great to go to sleep with the flavor of a tasty sirloin on your breath instead of the taste of minty fresh rabbit food? While there are a lot of effed-up things about life, the flavor of toothpaste just doesn't incite enough outrage IMHO.

I hate the taste of mint. Our youngest has strawberry flavored toothpaste but I haven't tried it.

Steak, pizza, pasta, all those would be great to go to bed with. Leave the minty fresh for morning.

AND why does most mouthwash make orange juice taste horrible?

Why doesn't cat food come mouse flavored?

Bacon flavored maybe.

My cure for coffee breath is to drink more coffee.

There's bacon flavoured toothpaste and tooth picks at a local candy shop here..

The Thai's are the masters of toothpaste! They have many exotic options. ;)

I drink plenty of beer to insure that my breath smells like beer. Does that count?

Hey, if we're going to go there, let's go there. Pun-tang paste.

Some great suggestions here!

The carbonada criolla came out great BTW. It's perfect for the fall weather we're having. It only got up to 60 degrees today and was windy.

Peppermint oil actually stimulates gum growth, so at one time there was a reason for it as an active ingredient in toothpaste. Mint ''flavor'' OTOH, probably only masks issues.

In terms of appeal though, I'm not sure ''meat breath'' is actually considered a compliment.

Thank you. I've shot dozens of magazine covers, but this would be the first one of food. I'm trying to get good at product photography, especially food, so I'm glad this little quickie was acceptable. It would have been better if I had taken time to get out the lights, plus I had put window cleaner in my spray bottle.

Bacon flavor for the morning. Vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies for night. Cold be a way to satisfy craving and lose weight.:D
