Ok, I know WalMart has its haters, but sometimes I have to shake my head at what they can pull off.

Old Dodge pickup needed a head unit, as the old one had no provision for an aux or streaming. While in WM for something else, I see that they have a unit with no cd (fine by me, who needs cds) with tuner and bluetooth for 19 bucks. Branded Dual. Since its DIN, its easy in/out, so I bought it on a flyer.

Shoot, the darn thing sounds really good. Not audiophile good, but oem stereo good or better. A2DP streaming, built in phone mike, plenty of power with 2-3 ohm inifinity speakers, and 4 pre outs. I would have never believed it.

Some minor downsides, if you can call them that at this price. No eq, just bass, treble and some factory rock/jazz/vocal settings. No real iphone functionality, you can only stream, not play thru the usb port which only reads flash drives. Phone calls need to be placed from the phone, as does siri access, not from a button on the deck. But did I mention it sounds great, has preouts, and is 19 bucks?

I have a really good single DIN AM/FM/CD head unit that I got from Walmart for $59, it has bluetooth, and other high end options. It sounds really good in my Mustang.

I've seen modern head units put in old English sports cars(+ to ground). Obviously you have to isolate the head unit from the chassis and change the voltage to 12v but it's doable.
